Questo articolo è per le seconde classi, ma come i precedenti può essere utile a chiunque serva un metodo per costruire la figura umana senza tanti schemi. Precisiamo: gli schemi vanno benissimo, se servono davvero, ma in certi casi sono un ostacolo. Facciamo qualche esempio: la griglia a 9 moduli è utilissima per costruire una figura statica, simmetrica e con misure sempre uguali, mentre è d’ostacolo se si pretende di usarla per copiare pose particolari o fare figure di misure differenti da quelle della griglia stessa. Il “manichino” va bene, all’inizio, per capire come sono distribuite le masse corporee, ma diviene una perdita di tempo e un ostacolo se non ci si rende conto della differenza tra le sue forme (rozze e stereotipate) e quelle di una figura piacevole a vedersi e stilizzata in modo personale. Lo schema a filo va bene per copiare, ma se non si ha niente da copiare, ovvero si deve inventare lì per lì una figura, ovviamente non serve a niente.
Il metodo che vi propongo in realtà è una sintesi avanzata di schema a filo e manichino. Lo applico alla figura maschile ma il procedimento sarebbe identico per quella femminile.
Questo è l’obiettivo finale. Non è un granchè? Non deve esserlo, è uno schizzo. E’ fatto per essere vestito ed è inutile cesellare le forme del corpo. E’ importante però sapere cosa rende la figura maschile tale, specie se siete abituati a fare quella femminile.
I tratti sono spigolosi.
La mandibola è forte e squadrata.
Le spalle sono larghe.
Se si dovranno vedere parti del corpo nude è necessario avere un’idea di come sono disposti i muscoli (es: deltoide).
La differenza tra vita e fianchi è scarsa.
I fianchi sono poco più stretti del torace.
L’uomo non porta tacchi = i piedi sono visti in prospettiva, inseriti in un ideale triangolo.
Tutte queste cose sono verificabili sulla figura sopra. Verificatele.
Le proporzioni ideali per un foglio A4 sono quelle indicate sulla figura. Ma scordatevi di misurare i millimetri, dovete imparare ad andare a occhio.
Questo è lo schema iniziale. Tracciate una linea verticale a metà del foglio; decidete dove comincia e dove finisce la figura: non devono esserci teste o piedi che nel procedere del lavoro “non stanno nel foglio”. Comandate voi, non il foglio.
Io non ho fatto tutto lo schema all’inizio, comincio sempre facendo la testa “per bene”, con lineamenti e tutto, perché mi piace dare un carattere alla mia figura, poi faccio le altre linee.
 Le spalle sono leggermente spioventi, non sono perpendicolari al collo. Busto e bacino sono due trapezi, con le basi minori unite in vita. |
 Tracciate le linee conduttrici di braccia e gambe.Queste ultime vanno divise in due: lì ci sarà il ginocchio. |
 Definite le forme di braccia e gambe.Se non sapete bene dove sono i muscoli o come sono fatti, non esagerate con le curve.

Osservate le forme.
Osservate una persona vera (una foto, voi stessi allo specchio, un amico).
In una persona vera non ci sono spigoli: qui ci sono per far capire bene la geometria del corpo. Il deltoide lo vedete. Il braccio, nella parte superiore, è quasi tubolare, un po’ rigonfio in mezzo e va restringendosi leggermente verso il gomito. Dopo il gomito si allarga bruscamente e di nuovo si restringe verso il polso. La mano l’ho spiegata 200 volte. Questa tiene una borsa vista di profilo.
Tutto questo disegno a voi verrà, se Dio vuole, diverso dal mio: è appunto il vostro, non il mio. Tenete sempre presenti le proporzioni e l’armonia di quanto andate costruendo, e non occupatevi d’altro. Se whatsapp vibra dovete scegliere: può andare bene anche scegliere whatsapp, ma almeno mandate consapevolmente a quel paese il disegno, oppure fate il contrario. Insieme, per adesso no. A presto. Q.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
